Please note in naijamart.com you can do one or more of four things which are similar, but quite different in nature.
These are:
1, Placing a personal ad.
2, Placing a business ad.
3, Searching for a personal ad.
4, Searching for a business ad.
How do i place an advert?
There are two kinds of adverts you can place depending on whether you are advertising a personal item/good/service or whether you are advertising a company's product or services
The two kinds of adverts are thus -
1, Personal Ads
2, Business Ads
PLACING PERSONAL ADS
To Place a personal ad is very simple and can be done in a number of ways.
1,Using the "Place Personal Ad" link at the top of every page in naijamart.com.
2,By clicking on the "Place Personal Ad" button on the Home Page of naijamart.com
3,By clicking any of the categories on the left side of every page in naijamart.com and then
clicking the "Go >>" button at the bottom of the screen for that category when the screen for that category is presented to you.
In all the following ways above the following steps/process will always apply to place a personal ad
1,Use one of the above ways to begin to place your personal ad
2, You will then be taken to the "ad placer's contact details" page where you will be required to enter some contact details purely for our own administrative purposes.
This page will have a form on it titled "Please tell us your contact details"
You should also keep in mind the instructions relating to the number of characters applicable for your entries(which are at the top of the page) when filling in this form
3,Once you have completed the personal details form, you then cick the button labeled "Continue" down the bottom of the form
4,You will then be shown all the details you have entered so far. This is to give you a chance to review these details and if they are not correct, to go back and correct them.
To go back and correct the details, just press the "Back" button and you will be taken back to the previous form
5, If you are satisfied with the details shown, then you need to click the "Continue" button to go to the page where you will place your advert
Please note carefully the explanations in number 6 below as they are very important.
6,After clicking the "Continue" button as explained in(5) above, you will be presented with the advert placement screen. Please read the instructions at the top of this screen and also the
"Notes" section at the bottom of the page.
To place your advert therefore, you just need to fill in the form carefully and the entries are explained below
a,Category:This refers to the category of the item you want to sell, such as "Motoring-Vehicles" if you are selling anything relating to any type of vehicle(Cars,trailers,lorries etc...) or vehicle parts
b,Currency: refers to which currency you will like to be paid in, for the item you want to sell or how you would like to pay if you are the one looking for something to buy or a service.
c,Advert Type:This refers to whether your advert is to offer something for sale or to whether your advert is that you are looking for something.
if you are selling something or offering a service, then you should choose "Offered" from the dropdown.
If you are looking for a particular item or service, then you should choose "Wanted" from the dropdown.
d,Price:This refers to the price you want for your item/service if you are offering/selling an item or the price you are willing to pay if you are looking for an item/service.
If price does not apply to your advert for instance in the case of announcements, then you can just put N/A i.e Not Applicable, or None for your price entry.
e,Item Country:This refers to the country in which the item you are advertising is based. Please note that this may not the same as the country in which you reside which you have provided in your "Personal Details" entry previously
The country is set to Nigeria as the default, but you have choices of Nigeria, UK, or USA in the drop down list.
f,Item State:This refers to the State or County(in the case of the UK) in which the item you are advertising is based. This drop down list is based on the country you selected from the "Item Country" as explained in "e" above
g,Item Town:This refers to the Town within the state in which the item you are advertising is based.
h,Item Location: This refers to the Location within the town in which the item you are advertising is based.
An example of how your country, state,town and location entries should be is
Country:Example=Nigeria
State:Example=Oyo
Town:Example=Ibadan
Location:Example=Agodi
7,Internet Advert:This refers to the body of your advert as you want it to be seen on the internet. You have a maximum of 500 characters for your internet advert.
8,Publication Advert: This refers to the body of your advert as you want it to be shown in our periodical magazine. You have a maximum of 200 characters for your publication advert.
Please note that if you require more than 200 characters for your print advert, then you should contact us to arrange this(Please note that a fee may be charged for this)
9,Contact Time:This refers to the time you want to be contacted with regards to the advert you are placing and there is a wide range of times available in the drop down list.
This will then take you to the final section of placing your advert where you have a chance to review all your entries and go back to make changes if you
are not satisfied with what you have entered.
Also, on this screen, you have the option to place a picture of the item you are advertsing on the web site.
To place a picture, you just click the Browse button at the bottom of the form. You can then navigate to where the picture is on your computer and then select it. This will then be transfered to the "Add Picture Box" as part of your advert.
Please note that only ".jpg" or ".jpeg" files should be chosen as your picture entry.
If you are satisfied with your entries as shown on this screen, then all you need to do next is to click the "Finish" button.
11,Once you click the finish button, your advert will be accepted and you will then be issued with an advert confirmation number as your receipt.
PLACING BUSINESS ADVERTS
To Place a business ad is also very simple and can be done in a number of 2 ways.
1,Using the "Search/Place Business Ads" link at the top of every page in naijamart.com.
2,By clicking on the "Place Business Ad" button on the Home Page of naijamart.com
1,Use one of the above ways to begin to place your business ad
2, You will then be taken to the "Business Listings Search Page" Please note the instructions at the top of this page and also the notes section at the bottom of the page.
This page will have a form on it titled "Find that business in naija Pages"."
At the bottom of this form is the "Place Ad" button and all you need to do is to click this button to begin placing your business advert.
3,After clicking this button you will be taken to the page titled "Enter your business listings ad" where you can then begin to enter your advert
To place your advert therefore, just fill in the form "Enter Business Advert" form as follows
4,Category:This refers to the category for your business.
5,Company Name:This refers to your company's name.
6,Address:This refers to your company's address.
7,Country:This refers to the country in which your business is based
8,State:This refers to the state(or county in the case of the UK) in which your company is based.
Please note that the states or county is dependent on the country chosen.
9,Town:This refers to the Town within the state in which your company is based.
10,Area:This refers to the area within the town in which your company is based.
11,Phone:Your company's phone number
12,Mobile:Your company's mobile number(if one exists)
13,Fax:Your company's fax number
14,Email:Your company's email address
15,Internet Text:Your advert as you want it seen on the internet
16,Publication Text:Your advert as will be seen in our periodical magazine
17,Once you have completed the business adverts form, you then cick the button labeled "Continue" down the bottom of the form
18,You will then be shown all the details you have entered so far. This is to give you a chance to review these details and if they are not correct, to go back and correct them.
To go back and correct the details, just press the "Back" button and you will be taken back to the previous form
19,If you are satisfied with the details shown, then you need to click the "Finish" button to add your business advert
You will then be issued with a reciept number for your advert entry.
SEARCHING FOR ADVERTS:
Please note that the results you get from your search depends totally on what you enter or choose on the search screens.
As with placing an ad, you can search for two kinds of adverts which are:
1, Personal Ads
2, Business Ads.
PERSONAL ADS SEARCHING:This can be done in one of 3 ways which are:
1,By Clicking the "Search For Personal Ads" link at the top of every page in naijamart.com
2,By Clicking the "Find It" button on the Home Page(after filling in your search criteria).Filling in your search criteria will be explained below.
3,By Clicking any of the personal ad categories on the left side of every page in naijamart.com.
In all the following ways above the following steps/process will always apply to searching for personal ads
1,Use one of the above ways to begin your personal ad search.
2,We will use the Home Page as the example here.
Here are the criteria you can use to perform your search.
1,Category:This is the category of personal ads you are interested.
2,What are you looking for:This is what you are looking for.This is optional.You do not need to enter anything , however if you want to show all adverts that have been placed under the chosen category.
Also, you can enter what you are looking for in part or in full.
3,In which country:This is the country you want to base your search on. By default this is set to Nigeria, but you also have the option of the UK or the USA.
4,Any Particular State:This is the state within the country you have selected that you want to base your search on. "All States" is the default for the states.
If you leave the option as "All States", the search will be based on all states in the country you have chosen.
5,Any Particular Town:This is the town on which you want to base your search on. Note that you do not have to enter the town you are interested in full as the search process can use only part of the letters that make up the town's name to perform the search.
Also, note that you do not have to enter a town at all. If you do not enter a town, then the search will be based on all the towns in the state.
6,Any Particular Area:This is the area in the town you want to base your search on.As with town, you can enter your area criteria in part or fully or not at all.
7,Offered Or Wanted:This is whether you are looking for adverts that are offering an item/service or you are searching for adverts that are looking for items/services.
8,Any search period:All adverts are placed on the website for a maximum of 30 days after which they will no longer come up in any search unless renewed.The default search period is "All" and this will bring back all adverts within the 30 days time limit
If you want more recent adverts, then you can choose the time period interested in from the drop down list.
Once you have configured your search parameters, you can then click the "Find It >>" at the bottom of the form to perform your search
Where you have arrived at a personal ads search screen through one of the other ways of performing a personal adverts search, the above points also will apply.
SEARCHING FOR BUSINESS ADVERTS
This can be done in one of 2 ways which are
1,By clicking the "Search/Place Business Ads" link at the top of every page in naijamart.com
2,By Clicking the "Search" button on the Home Page of naijamart.com
Which ever way you choose to search for business adverts, you will always be taken to the same search screen which is the screen titled "Business Listings Search"
Here are the criteria you can use to perform your business adverts search.
1,Category:This is the category of business ads you are interested.
2,In which country:This is the country you want to base your search for business adverts on. By default this is set to Nigeria, but you also have the option of the UK or the USA.
3,Any Particular State:This is the state within the country you have selected that you want to base your search for business adverts on. "All States" is the default for the states.
If you leave the option as "All States", the search will be based on all states in the country you have chosen.
